Scam and won't pay for my car to be fixed even though I have paid for the insurance for the past 5 years without being late

I have tried over a thousand and one times to get my car fixed through Aeverex, only to be given the run arounds every freaking time. I have paid for this "insurance" for the past 5 years, but yet can't get my car. They have u go into the car shop to get estimate only to also give the auto repair shop the run arounds as well when they call for make it seem likes its the auto shops fault on why my car has not been fixed. EITHER GIVE ME MY *** MONEY BACK OR FIX MY CAR!!!!! PERIOD

I bought a car from DriveTime in 2016. I signed up for the gap insurance with Aeverex insurance which was recommended through DriveTime. I recently totaled my car a month ago. My insurance company paid their portion out 2 weeks ago. I recently received a letter from Aeverex stating they are only paying $800.00 out of the $4000.00 that I still owe. I have been given the run around as to why they can’t pay the full balance. Isn’t gap supposed to fill in the gap after a total loss?! I am very upset. I have 3 children and a full-time job. I have to figure out how to get to work and my children to school every day without vehicle. I am not able to get a car until this balance is paid in full. I do not recommend DriveTime or Aeverex at all.

Worst company

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
My vehicle has transmission issues, took it to the shop recommended by averex. The shop said bad transmission, the inspector came out ride with the mechanic and said yes I feel the issue bad transmission. 5 days later the inspector finally called the shop and said there is nothing wrong with the transmission. This has to be the worst company I have heard of. O want the inspector to come out ride with me and then tell me he don’t feel the issue.

Very mad customer

Brought a car FROM DRIVETIME.. June 3,2016 was told that drivetime did a car far and guarantee it was never in a car accident.

4 days after purchase my mechanic told me it need a rack and pinion. Averex gave me a list of places that they approve to fix my car. I pick Pep boys. I inform drivetime, averex and pepboys if this 2011 need a rack i dont want this car.

i went to pep boys and made it clear to check the rack only. after having the car 3 days pep boys says it need a power steering unit. They put the power steering unit in the car it blew because it needed a rack.. So Averex told pep boys to put the rack in after i told them not to put the rack because i was returning the car.

well after 2 weeks and 2 power steering units and a 2 racks it was to late to return the car. since 2016 pep boys has put 3 racks on this same car. plus i put 4 wheel bearing on the front. which the problem is the driver side.

so now the car back in the shop axle broke. So i decided to do a real car fax and found out that this car has severe front end damage from a car that was in a accident 7/18/14. two years before i purchased. I contact bridgecrest about this they said they use expedia for their car report.

So i ask can he do a car fax with expedia right now and tell me what comes up. the worker said yes. And nothing comes up.. So i told the worker this is a boogus report because i got oil changes ever 5000 miles and the real car fax has every oil change i had done since i purchased...

Im looking into what i can do legally since i paid 10450 and still owe 10,200 on a car 3500..

I'm sure this a class action suit i'm sure im not the only customer purchasing these buckets from drivetime.. Anybody interested in this class action suit contact me on Instagram@***U

My car has been sitting in a shop with transmission issues for 6 days. The inspector finally went today to get a report and now taking his time turning in a report. IN the meantime I’m having to rent a car out of my pocket and no consideration from the reps at all. This has been the worst experience ever. What a ripoff for drive time to even offer this ***

I have a 2013 Dodge Avenger. My vehicle ran hot so I called them to verify my warranty. They said that I was covered and the shop that was in the network was Pepboys. Called Pep boys and let them know what was going on with my car and they told me to call the warranty company back and make sure that the warranty covered the air conditioner or radiator. Called the warranty department back and they said that yes I was covered under warranty. The warranty department advised me to contact pep boys towing to have my vehicle towed over there. Called pep boys and they came and picked up my vehicle and the next day the mechanic called and asked me what is wrong and I explained to him what was wrong. He called the warranty department and they said that it was not covered. I was pissed. I called the warranty department and they said that the components that he called in were not on my warranty. I even called Drive time and they said the same thing. I told them well im paying for a warranty that does not cover repairs and also pay a car note I told them they could come and pick up the car. The man told me I had to drive it to them. How was I supposed to bring a running hot car from Baton Rouge to Mississippi. These people are real scammers so if you ever hear the word Aeverex please run cause they are the worst warranty company ever.

I bought a 2007 chevy equinox from drivetime when I doing the test drive the key was getting stuck so the saleman told me that aeverex will fix it. After i took it to midas they told me that their gps cause electrical problems on many cars so I end up taking it to chevy dealers where they told me my hairbag censor was bad. Aeverex said that they don't cover it so my car still have problems and i don't have an extra $900 for my sensor or the money to pay the dealership to fix it.

I have a 2011 Subaru that I purchased in 2016. I have never had a problem with the vehicle until the timing belt was replaced with the water pump and thermostat. After this happened the vehicle began overheating. My car has been in the shop now for over a month in a half with the dealership trying to find the initial problem. The service manager and trained tech discovered the warped block and proceeded to work toward filing a claim to have everything replaced. Aeverex will not pay the claim saying they wont cover cooling problems. It isn't a cooling issue but a internal failure and power train issue. We are pursuing legal action at this time and I fully beg everyone to stay away from this company. They took $2100 and will not uphold the warranty. STAY AWAY!

2008 SUBARU FORESTER, HAS HAD STEERING PUMP REPLACED 4 TIMES, THE LAST TIME 3 MONTHS AGO, AVEREX REFUSES TO PAY FOR IT. THIS COMPANY IS A RIPOFF. CUSTOMER SERVICE SUPERVISOR GERMAN IS RUDE.

POWER STEERING PUMP HAS GONE BAD SEVERAL TIMES, THE LAST ONE LASTED 3 MONTHS AND AVEREX REFUSES TO PAY. THEY SEND US TO "IN NETWORK" SHOPS SO THEY CAN HAVE REPAIRS DONE HALF WAY AND NOT PAY ALOT WITH CHEAP PARTS.

NOW HEAD GASKET IS BLOWN AND WE TOOK TO OUR SERVICE DEALER WHO DIAGNOSED IT BUT AVEREX WILL NOT LET US HAVE REPAIR THERE AND WILL ONLY LET US GO TO "IN NETWORK" REPAIR SHOP. AGAIN THIS IS SO THEY CAN PUT IN USED OR NOT WORKING PARTS. VERY PISSED OFF. SPOKE WITH GERMAN WHO SAID "I CAN'T HELP YOU", I ASKED FOR HIS SUPERVISOR AND HE SAID HIS SUPERVISOR DOESN'T TAKE CALLS.

I ASKED FOR HIS SUPERVISORS NAME AND HE SAID WE DON'T GIVE OUT NAMES. I COULDN'T GET LAST NAMES OR ANYTHING.

Aevexex is worthless

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I purchased Aeverex when I purchased my car with DriveTime. I have never had problems with my car and out of nowhere my car stops and my engine is completely shot and my radiator.

I get reasoning as to what could have potentially happened to my car as to how the engine which is under warranty still caused my radiator to malfunction which is not under warranty. I talk to German, the top supervisor for the region from my understanding, and he has they evaluate though a 3rd party about the repairs, and looking over photos and diagnostic from Pep Boys, which is a report showing after the fact the end damage and not the causality of the damage. I proceeded to explain that a Pep Boys mechanic stated that my engine potentially caused my radiator to crack which is why Aeverex is stating they will not cover the warranty for anything. He then stated that our 3rd party mechanics are way better than Pep Boys which is an in network repair company they are contracted with...

why even work with a company you do not deem up to par. Complete waste of money and should have not even purchased them this bogus warranty company who’s final decision makers are not even mechanics.

I purchased a warranty with Aeverex when I purchased my car from Drivetime. Have never had to have any repairs until now... It's summer time and my ac went out along with some other mechanical issues that were found..... Aeverex will not cover any of the repairs, they say that the parts are not covered. Total waste of my money and time. Very disgusted with this company.

Aeverex is the worst

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Motor went out on my car, chose an in-network facility to take it to. It took the facility 28 days to fix my car. I had to pay for a rental the entire time and i kept calling Aeverex asking about reimbursement and etc. Get my reimbursement and it's only half of what i paid. Called Aeverex and they advised they only pay for 14 days of rental and i need to take the rest up with the repair shop. Lol seriously? This is the repair shop you guys are contracted with. Why should i have to take it up with them, why wasnt any of this explained to me when i called 20 times instead of telling me i would be fully reimbursed i just need to email over the invoice. Aeverex and Drivetime are deceitful and i do not suggest anyone purchase from them. I have not had my car for even 2 years and i have had so many problems from start. Lets please keep complaining to get them out of business..

Good company

I forgot to add this as well. But I didn't know about dodges and their pust start.

Well you're not supposed to get jumps to anyone or receive a jump. My battery is under my driver's tire, so you'll have to take it out and to an auto store to recharge a battery but...

Original review Feb 12, 2018
Going to just try to understand this up as much as I can. I love this company!!

My engine locked up on me. It did look like it was my fault but wasn't. With dodge journey you will never know something is wrong until you're on the side of the road and that's when the check engine will come on. Okay now listen cause I will post this everywhere!!

So Aeverex contacted the shop where I had my car towed to... Did their job!! I called the shop to get an update and they told they're waiting on the warranty company, so called the warranty company and got Christopher and Christopher informed me that they been waiting on the shop to call back for 3 days!! So I called the shop back and the dude was nasty!!

They told me they didn't do calls and all this BS that wasn't true!! So I called Christopher back and told him!! He seemed agitated by what I told him the shop response!! So Christopher said call them on 3 way so I did!!

So the man from the shop was like let me tell you how this works, and we don't call and this and that!! Christopher now shut this man down!!! And said well let me tell you how we work and went in on him!! They did right by me!!

So I don't understand why the bad reviews!! In all... My engine was starving, but lube was actually in the car.. did look like my fault, but I know without a fact I took care of my car and the warranty company listened to my concerns closely!!

I know a few people who has updated models of my 2012 journey and it has happened to them! And being on the idea of the road when the check engine light come on and the car just locked up for some reason. Aeverex didn't fight with me about who, how and why.. they came in and saved me!!

So in the end we end up talking to the person who handles the claim I have and he was awesome!! All I have to say is Aeverex is a good company!! And they really do care about their customers! You can't get mad at them for doing their job and doing what's right!

You just simply can't please everyone! If certain things not covered into the warranty company then they're not liable to pay anyways so know your options.

Thanks!! And keep up the great work!!

Depends on what the shop had said to them!! Call and talk to Christopher!!

He'll listen to you and actually explain in details on why... If there's something you can do to prove that you're not a full fault then trust me Averex will come in and take over to help anyway they can.
